As fall approaches, and we settle back into routine at home in Downtown Charleston, I'm only just starting to reflect on the glorious summer we've had. So many incredible hotels—Umiltà 36 in Rome, Hotel La Gemma in Florence, Grand Hotel Tremezzo in Lake Como, The Fifth Avenue Hotel in New York. But one that sticks out the most is The Venice Venice Hotel in Venice, Italy.

As travel advisors, we often come across the phrase, 'no two rooms are alike', but at The Venice Venice Hotel each room is truly unique. 44 individual rooms are listed on their website (quite unconventional), and you're able to request a specific room.
When we arrived, we were upgraded two room categories to Room 39 (Postvenetian De Luxe). A very welcome surprise in summer / high season! We also received a jar each of delicious Venetian butter cookies (Buranelli) and savory biscuits (Biscotti Salati), daily à la carte breakfast, a 20 euro hotel credit which we used at their divine restaurant, and 2pm late check-out.

Other things to note:
We highly recommend getting a private water taxi from the airport or train station. Whilst you might think the public waterbus is a convenient option, trust me, it's not! Luggage (of any size) and busy Vaporettos do not mix and you'll likely get looks from locals.
The hotel's Venice M'Art, a shopping, dining, and art experience is so so special. The hotel is owned by the founders of Golden Goose so you can expect gorgeous items you'll want to spend all your money on.
The restaurant on the Grand Canal needs to be reserved in advance, it commands some of the best views of the Ponte di Rialto, and the food was the best we had in Venice. Each menu item is featured on a card with photo and ingredient list incase of any allergies. We inhaled a seafood risotto and white fish starter whilst listening to live music. Both incredible. It's the place to be seen in Venice.
Complimentary breakfast by the water is absolutely dreamy, and consists of a large tray of Italian pastries, orange juice / tea / coffee, cherries, and a selection from the à la carte menu including Eggs Benedict with lobster. As I cannot eat gluten, they brought out a gluten free tray of delicious breads, pastries, muffins, and I opted for the fruit platter on the menu.
The minibar is free and large glass bottles of water are provided twice daily.
Most inventive bath amenities go to The Venice Venice and their brand, The Erose. The shampoo and bath wash came in aluminum cans resembling a soda, and I appreciated the conditioning mask in a large tube.
The location couldn't have been better—right next to the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square, in Cannaregio. We particularly appreciated the proximity to our favorite gelato of the trip, Suso.

It's rare you find a hotel that makes your heart skip a beat, but The Venice Venice Hotel was just that. A dreamy stay that we'll remember forever and look forward to going back to.
As mentioned earlier, our partnership perks mean that you too can enjoy a welcome treat in room on arrival, priority upgrade whenever available, 20 euro hotel credit, and guaranteed 2pm late checkout, as well as the complimentary breakfast by the Canal.
