Hello friends! Summer is right around the corner (if you're in the Northern hemisphere), and many of us are starting to think about our upcoming trips; things we want to bring, and how we'd like to pack.

We've spent a lot of time recently traveling around Australia, and then back to the States on the dreaded long-haul 24hr flight journey. I'm also heading to Italy soon (weew!) with a carry-on only, and will be testing out a capsule wardrobe—something I've never considered doing before but have heard great things about. With all this in mind, below is a list of my ultimate luxury travel essentials. Happy travels!

The cutest tote bag perfect for all of your in-flight essentials or carrying around personal items during a day of exploring the sites. Throw in your phone, wallet, sunscreen, digital camera, portable charger... It even has a zip top closure to keep your belongings safe and secure (pickpockets can't pick on us!).

These have been in my cart for a while, and I'm v. happy to report that I finally took the plunge. Traveling with your favorite at-home skincare and haircare makes such a difference, and means no single use travel sized bottles—the environment will thank us! There's a palpable feeling of togetherness, and adulting that comes from owning these. Plus, they're TSA approved.

We all know why we should be wearing compression socks on flights... but Wellow makes them cool (I promise!). They created their own level of compression (18–25 mmHg) so that their socks gently wrap around your feet, ankles, and legs to provide enough support whilst still being comfortable. Check out all those colors!! We love the Borealis pack... Norway anyone?

There's something about brushing your teeth on a long flight that makes you feel just a little less gross. You're seriously missing out if you're sleeping on this, just make sure to use bottled water to rinse out—not plane water! It only seems fitting that whilst I plan for a vacation to Italy, I include a toothbrush from Florence.

Whilst the toothbrush is required, the toothpaste is the main event. It comes in a cute travel size, and an array of flavors; Ginger, Amarelli Licorice, Cinnamon, Anise, Jasmine, Black Forest, Sweet and Sour Rhubarb, need I go on?

If you weren't already excited for Euro summer, this will get you going! There are so many advantages to using packing cubes. They're great for grouping your clothes together by outfit, type of clothing, or day. They make you a more efficient and organized traveler, and help you fit more items into your bag. I prefer the standard ones, because I find the compression variety wrinkle your clothes. These are super adorable and they're machine washable!

Apple, AirTag — $29

We've all dealt with lost luggage, and unhelpful airline staff. An AirTag gives me peace of mind knowing where my bag is at all times. Plus it's fun watching it go from the terminal check-in belt to the plane...and hopefully not flying away from you.

Hear me out, it's worth it. Whilst Rimowa suitcases come at a cost, they really do make high quality products with a lifetime warranty, meaning that if any functional damage happens to your suitcase (including that caused by transports), they'll repair or replace it. The wheels are elite, better than any other suitcase I've tried. And, whilst they're most known for their aluminum bags, I actually prefer their polycarbonate ones.

Hydration on planes is essential, unless you want a blazing headache and the first day of your vacation ruined. I've tried a few different electrolyte brands but these LMNT ones are an excellent option for travel because they come in individual sachets, and can fit into any water bottle.

I love this bag. Seriously obsessed. Made in Italy with the classic Bottega intreccio leather, and the capacity to hold a MacBook Pro, water bottle, toiletries kit, etc. It's the perfect flight companion, sliding right under the seat in front. It also comes with a detachable zipped pouch, great for important items like your passport, wallet, and any small accessories.

The average paperback weighs between 6 and 12 ounces, not to mention the physical space taken up in your already overstuffed suitcase. If you're going carry-on only, it's really not an option, unless you want to be stuck with one (potentially awful) book that you have to carry around for the rest of your trip (if not dump). The Kindle was an adjustment but makes reading during vacation a breeze.

A water-resistant toiletry bag (because somehow it always gets wet by the sink!). It holds everything I need for a five day trip and more as I take minimal makeup products with me, and I love that it opens flat making it so much easier to access and view all my goodies.

If you're anything like me, you take a lot of vitamins... I think I take over 10 a day. Ikigai is a family owned business, created and run by two brothers and their dad. Their dad (whom has a neurological condition) tried every pill case, box, and organizer under the sun but none of them could easily open or be reliable in staying closed. So, the brothers made the first case for him. They're made from anodized aluminum (a material that is extremely durable), the same used by Apple for their Mac laptops.

Aesop is my go to (and not just because I like to support fellow Aussies). This alcohol-based formulation keeps your hands clean yet hydrated. Plus, who doesn't like Aesop packaging!

Love everything about this product. I converted to natural deodorant over 6 years ago and one of my biggest peeves is that so many of them leave white marks on your clothes. This one doesn't which is ideal when you don't have easy access to laundry facilities whilst traveling. Smells amazing too!

Bose is known for their superior quality and functionality, and these headphones deliver all that and more! I've used Apple AirPods Max in the past and can say with absolute certainty that the Bose QuietComforts are by far better sounding and have the most effective noise cancellation. Particularly important on a plane... when attempting to block out random noises and screaming babies that can jolt you out of sleep.

Until then, be well!
