A darkly alluring hotel on the Venice Canals, from the creative duo behind fashion brand Golden Goose—they lovingly restored Palazzo Ca’ da Mosto, a 13th century Venetian-Byzantine style palace, the oldest on the Grand Canal. Defying all other hotels in the city, Venice Venice avoids leaning into gothic themes of the past (picture: period set-pieces of antique furniture and Canaletto prints). Instead, the concept was to reinstate avant-garde in Venice—a refreshing mix of new-meets-old which they’ve dubbed “postvenezianità”. This hotel will tickle the fancy of anyone who appreciates art and design, interiors and architecture. On the ground floor you’ll find Venice M’art, a concept store, cafe, wine bar and all-day restaurant common in New York and London hotels but virtually unseen in Venice.

In the rooms you’ll immediately notice the  sensational views, lofted ceilings and large windows. Needless to say, the rooms are all very generously sized. All rooms come with a king bed, and if sharing a bed isn’t on the cards, the hotel will accommodate easily for two separate beds in the one room. From the curated art and furnishings, to the shower, the rooms are a functional and sensory delight—you’ll have a ridiculously good sleep here, the beds are super comfy and the rooms are quiet (especially the higher floors).

Enjoy the top of ‘the palace’, at the hotel’s Altana roof terrace with views of the Rialto Bridge, the Grand Canal and the entire city of Venice—private dining is available with those amazing views, by request.
