Sitting at the crossroads of King & George Street of historic Charleston, The Pinch is a new luxury boutique hotel housed in two original Victorian-style structures dating back as early as 1843, alongside one newly constructed building. The property has been thoughtfully transformed today into a boutique hotel experience, featuring twenty-two luxury rooms and suites, plus three residences that are fully furnished and available for stays of 30 days or longer.

All 22-rooms, designed by Morris Adjmi Architects, have a full kitchen, and a washer & dryer making them perfect for a weekend getaway or an extended stay. The rooms really make you feel at home, and not as if you’re staying in a hotel—from the exquisite herringbone floors, to the brilliant tile selection in the bathrooms through to the nuanced curation of thoughtful design elements like the one of a kind rugs and handcrafted furniture. They'll even stock the fridge with your personal favorites for your arrival, just ask! In the morning, guests are welcomed downstairs for complimentary fresh pastries (delivered daily from Baguette Magic), a selection of fruits, yogurt and La Colombe coffee—there’s also coffee beans for grinding and brewing in-room should the mood strike you.

Led by Executive Chef Jason Stanhope, the ground floor is also home to the hotel’s two full-service restaurants: The Quinte, a quaint neighborhood oyster & cocktail bar named after the billiards hall it was back in 1918 attached to the lobby in the main building; along with destination restaurants, Lowland and Lowland Tavern located across the cobblestone entrance in the Lequeux-Williams House, a freestanding, nineteenth-century neoclassical house, offer approachable fine dining in a relaxed, intimate setting with nostalgic and classic menus.

This boutique hotel is understated yet high-end, devoid of any pretentiousness that can sometimes accompany such service. Bikes are available for exploring Downtown—not that you’ll need them, being walking distance to everything. The spa offers customized massage treatments and facials featuring luxury Comfort Zone products from Italy.
