The new kid on the block! With a somewhat perfect number of 46 rooms, The Palmetto is ideally situated in Charleston’s Historic District and charming French Quarter—close by to the Market, King St, and Joe Riley Waterfront. Having only recently opened in 2023, the interiors are beautifully decorated with comfort in mind. We had the chance to tour the hotel, and loved the double glazed windows (a rarity in Charleston), plush robes & slippers, daily continental breakfast, and Bamford toiletries. The retro rotary phone on the bedside effortlessly adds to the vibe. Whilst staying close to the history, the folks at The Palmetto have managed to create a contemporary and classic aesthetic. The lobby is lovely and intimate, showcasing nods, and bits & pieces of Charleston lifestyle and history. 

There’s no restaurant here, which you’ll quickly realize is by design—the options for culinary experiences within a short walk from the hotel are unmatched. The hotel’s lobby bar serves a great selection of drinks, cocktails and light nibbles.
