Nine Orchard is located in the Lower East Side's Dimes Square—a trendy, youthful neighborhood and the perfect spot for those looking to be closer to hotspots, restaurants, and bars, and away from the typical touristy areas. A former bank turned hotel that oozes architectural charm, the architects used the original 1912 blueprints as inspiration when restoring the bank floor (with original vaulted ceiling) into what is now the Swan Room bar.

There are six room types, including a double queen configuration—very difficult to come by in most NYC boutique hotels, as well as six suite types. As a homage to NYC apartment living, all guest rooms are labeled as such; 4A, 6F etc. The terrace suite (offered in one bedroom or two) is our favorite, with some of the best views of the city. Guest rooms are spacious, and have an abundance of natural light. Custom Ojas speakers are outfitted in each room, and snack bars are curated by neighboring restaurant, Dimes.

The hotel has two restaurants and a bar: Corner Bar, the Dining Room, and the Swan Room. The Dining Room provides an ideal setting for dinners or intimate gatherings. However, the true showstopper is the rooftop space known as the Greenhouse, offering incredible views and perfect for events.
