Overlooking Paris' oldest (and in our opinion, finest) planned square, Place des Vosges; Cour Des Vosges’ incredibly unique and chic accommodations are located within the fashionable Marais district. With an intimate 12 rooms and suites, the luxury hotel is perfect for guests in search of privacy and seclusion. It's a distinct and diverse neighborhood, best explored by foot.
Considered a mansion by some, a château by others, Cour des Vosges is experienced as an exceptional residence welcoming epicures, hedonists, history buffs, and lovers of Paris. The hotel’s owner, Evok welcomes you to the former Hôtel de Montbrun, a 17th-century residence at 19 place des Vosges. A unique and historic site, it was the royal square Henri IV planned in 1605, and therefore the oldest square in Paris.
All rooms were decorated by Lecoadic & Scotto, who have created quite an unusual atmosphere: a discussion between eras where contemporary design meets period objects and references. Original beams, terra cotta floor tiles—here, the authenticity and spirit of the location are preserved and respected. The suites on the second floor have stunning views of the place des Vosges. The higher up you go, the more the panorama expands. From the suites on the third and fourth floors, you rise above the tops of the linden and horse chestnut trees in the garden.
To maintain the customs of French art de vivre, the hotel houses its own restaurant, serving light gourmet fare for breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner. For the sweet tooth, "Brach-La Pâtisserie '' offers a selection of treats created by pastry chef Yann Brys, who was named Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Craftman of Paris—a competition held every 4 years).
Cour des Vosges instantly invites you to immerse yourself into the life of a noble French family dating back to the 16th century. A family of art lovers and collectors that has enjoyed gathering sculptures, ceramics, tapestries, and furnishings over the decades. Art is present everywhere here—statues and paintings mingle with old books, first editions, and award-winning novels.
